We believe that every child should have the opportunity to explore their love of art, regardless of financial means. If your family needs help paying for an art class, please let us know when you sign up.
Registration
We'd love to have you all, but space is limited...so sign up today!
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Your space isn't confirmed until you have completed our online registration through RegFox. It's easy, just follow the link below the class you want.
The Art Center supplies all art materials for each class unless the instructor asks for something special for a specific class.
If you need to cancel your child's registration, let us know at least 48 hours before the actual class date and you'll be refunded the full amount. Class fees are non-refundable for cancellations less than 48 hours before the class date. Thank you for understanding.

We follow Burlington Community School District for weather-related cancellations. Please check BCSD notifications for updates.

Art Class Parent Pickup Policy
The primary concern of our kids art classes is to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in our care. In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, it is essential that parents or guardians promptly pick up their children at the conclusion of each class. This policy is designed to address the procedure for handling situations when a parent or guardian fails to pick up their child on time.
The art class instructors and staff will maintain supervision of students until the designated pickup time. In the event that a parent or guardian is running late, they should notify ACB as soon as possible by calling 319-754-8069. This allows the staff to be informed of the situation and reassure the child. Our staff will attempt to contact you through your provided phone number. If contact cannot be established with the parent or guardian within a reasonable timeframe, emergency contacts listed during registration will be attempted for notification. If no contact can be made with either the parent or emergency contacts within a reasonable period, local authorities (such as the police) may be notified for assistance.
ACB values the well-being of every child, and we understand that unexpected situations can arise. We ask for the cooperation and understanding of all parents and guardians in adhering to this policy to ensure the safety and welfare of our students.
By enrolling a child in our classes, parents or guardians acknowledge their understanding and agreement with this Parent Pickup Policy. It is essential to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children under our care, and adherence to this policy is vital in achieving that goal.
Friday Night Art Hop

We are excited to announce that Art Hop has been extended to 6:00-8:00 PM!
Please note the updated pricing and registration details:
$15 per child if you sign up by the Sunday before Art Hop.
$20 per child for sign-ups made Monday through Wednesday.
A final decision will be made by Thursday morning regarding whether Art Hop will run, based on the number of sign-ups. If the event is confirmed, you can call in to register on Thursday, if space is available.
Walk-ins will not be accepted on Friday.

Experiment with paint, oil pastels, printing ink and various papers to create colorful projects inspired by the master artists.

After School Art Club: Garden Party with Penelope Osbourne

Have you ever wanted to create your own flower? Your own bug? This class will do both and more! Come learn how to blend imagination and hands-on exploration of art skills as we make flowers, button bugs, and paint on rocks. What will your garden grow?

A Chicken Mystery with Tammy Bellrichard

Be a sleuth and "DRAW" your own conclusions as we help Olivia solve "THE BIG CHICKEN MYSTERY". Reading about Olivia's chicken encounters will inspire our own "chicken crafts" as well as weekly culinary arts. Then there is the business of the disappearing eggs.
Join Tantalizing Tammy in helping Olivia get to the bottom of this chicken mystery!
Each sleuth will receive their very own copy of our book, compliments of Lips to Go.

After School Art Club: Fairy Tale Dress Up with Penelope Osbourne

Come fall into a fairy tale with your own custom magical dress up clothes! We will be making wings, wands, crowns, and flower crowns that never wilt. Students will decorate their pieces to their liking - whatever colors, sparkles, and patterns they want.

Let’s learn about insects while we create them in our own style! Throughout this class students will use different materials to create insects big and small! We might even come up with our own species!

Ceramic Easter Bunny and House with Lillian Rubin

Celebrate spring with a hands-on clay class for grown-ups and kids to enjoy together. Create a cute Easter bunny and a small house using simple handbuilding techniques. One adult must register and attend with each child. This class is recommended for children ages 5 and up.

Ceramic Snowflakes with Jessi Tucci

Grades 3-6
We will be rolling slabs and painting them winter colors such as white, blues, pinks and purples. After drying them slightly we will press snowflake cut outs to create a handful of individual pieces. Then we place hooks in each. These will become hanging snowflakes to decorate for winter.

Roll out slabs and cut out 4 squares or circles perfect to place a drink on. Then follow step by step painting instruction on how to abstractly depict each of the 4 elements; earth, wind, water and fire.

Raindrops and Rainbows with Jessi Tucci

We will create a rainbow shape with clouds, cut out some raindrops and then paint each piece to make it pop! You will have a wall hang sculpture of a beautiful rainbow on a rainy day.

Hunny Bunny

Bring your Hunny Bunny to the Art Center to get a JUMP start on the most loving time of the year. We start by reading about a Hunny of a Bunny. Then create a Bunny to hold, to hang and to snack upon. Hop to it and get signed - up today.
