We believe that every child should have the opportunity to explore their love of art, regardless of financial means. If your family needs help paying for an art class, please let us know when you sign up.
Registration
We'd love to have you all, but space is limited...so sign up today!
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Your space isn't confirmed until you have completed our online registration through RegFox. It's easy, just follow the link below the class you want.
The Art Center supplies all art materials for each class unless the instructor asks for something special for a specific class.
If you need to cancel your child's registration, let us know at least 48 hours before the actual class date and you'll be refunded the full amount. Class fees are non-refundable for cancellations less than 48 hours before the class date. Thank you for understanding.

We follow Burlington Community School District for weather-related cancellations. Please check BCSD notifications for updates.

Art Class Parent Pickup Policy
The primary concern of our kids art classes is to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in our care. In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, it is essential that parents or guardians promptly pick up their children at the conclusion of each class. This policy is designed to address the procedure for handling situations when a parent or guardian fails to pick up their child on time.
The art class instructors and staff will maintain supervision of students until the designated pickup time. In the event that a parent or guardian is running late, they should notify ACB as soon as possible by calling 319-754-8069. This allows the staff to be informed of the situation and reassure the child. Our staff will attempt to contact you through your provided phone number. If contact cannot be established with the parent or guardian within a reasonable timeframe, emergency contacts listed during registration will be attempted for notification. If no contact can be made with either the parent or emergency contacts within a reasonable period, local authorities (such as the police) may be notified for assistance.
ACB values the well-being of every child, and we understand that unexpected situations can arise. We ask for the cooperation and understanding of all parents and guardians in adhering to this policy to ensure the safety and welfare of our students.
By enrolling a child in our classes, parents or guardians acknowledge their understanding and agreement with this Parent Pickup Policy. It is essential to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children under our care, and adherence to this policy is vital in achieving that goal.
Friday Night Art Hop

$15 per child
We are excited to announce that Art Hop has been extended to 6:00-8:00 PM!
Please note the updated pricing and registration details:
$15 per child if you sign up by the Sunday before Art Hop.
$20 per child for sign-ups made Monday through Wednesday.
A final decision will be made by Thursday morning regarding whether Art Hop will run, based on the number of sign-ups. If the event is confirmed, you can call in to register on Thursday, if space is available.
Walk-ins will not be accepted on Friday.
Youth Art Show
ACB invites young artists ages 5 to 12 to participate in our Youth Art Show, on view April 1 through April 22. This exhibition celebrates creativity, imagination, and the joy of making art.
Artists may submit up to two pieces. All mediums are welcome, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more.
- Deadline to submit is Saturday, March 28.
A public reception will be held Sunday, April 12, giving young artists a chance to see their work on the gallery walls and celebrate with family and friends.
We can’t wait to share the work of our community’s youngest creatives!

Ceramic Easter Bunny and House with Lillian Rubin

Celebrate spring with a hands-on clay class for grown-ups and kids to enjoy together. Create a cute Easter bunny and a small house using simple handbuilding techniques. One adult must register and attend with each child. This class is recommended for children ages 5 and up.

Jungle Jamboree with Meghan Riley

Let's journey into the jungle! In this class students will create animals & creatures they would discover in the jungle while also learning fun facts and more about one of earth's most vibrant ecosystems!

After School Art Club: Personal Petting Zoo with Penelope Osbourne
Tuesdays, April 7 // 4:30 - 6pm
Grades K-2

Learn how to make your own animals and their pens while building skills that are needed to grow as an artist! In this class, we will use imagination to create the animals of your dreams. What will your zoo have? A blue giraffe? A unicorn? Come create it!

After School Art Club: Magical Mermaids with Penelope Osbourne

Dive into your magical mermaid dreams in this under the sea themed class! Students will construct shimmering crowns, colorful jewelry, and of course sparkling tails. Choose what color tail you want and get ready to be taught a range of skills (such as painting and friendship bracelets) while having fun painting and creating!

Raindrops and Rainbows with Jessi Tucci
Monday, March 30 // 4:30-6pm
Grades 3-6
$25 ACB Members or $35 Non-Members
We will create a rainbow shape with clouds, cut out some raindrops and then paint each piece to make it pop! You will have a wall hang sculpture of a beautiful rainbow on a rainy day.

Hands On Art with Karla Mundt

Grades 3-6 (Younger siblings, 1st grade and up are welcome to sign up!)

Dig into a variety of projects using sand paper, foil, wire and found objects for some uniquely fun creations.

Decorate a mini flower pot with paints and make a plant of your design with air dry clay and paints.

Pottery: Flower Vase for Mom with Jessi Tucci

Grades 3-6

Kids will learn how to build or sculpt 5 different types of flowers out of clay and how to make a pinch pot vase. Students will have the opportunity to paint them with mom's favorite colors.

It's garden season so it's time to sculpt a little fella to dwell among the growing flowers or veggies! Kids will have step by step instruction to build and sculpt a 4-6 inch garden gnome and paint it however they see fit.
